I really appreciated it especially thank you so much you had so much to say, and your critique brought a lot of attention to the image and many more critiques that wouldn't have happened without that! I will take all the words you guys gave into consideration when I get back to working on that


I know i should be working AVW, but... just haven't felt up to it, so I am gonna do a meme instead that I stole from and

1) how you thought of their name
2) what made you create the character in the first place
3) how the character has changed over time (if they have changed)
4) any random fun fact about that character


I am only going to do a couple of my more interesting ones or ones that mean more to me

1) Shine (Margeret Melisse Freyer)
-In the beginning all my vampires from my Rain series just had nicknames like 'Shine' 'Nazereth' 'India' 'Fratz' just weird short names for no real reason except that I thought I was oh so cool and hip >.> I don't even remember where Shine came from, though through the story it was Shine herself that chose that name. Her real name was added later, even though Margeret is spelled different than the conventional Margaret, I liked it that way, and her original middle name was Melissa, but changed it to Melisse, to not conflict with other characters and it sounds more french. Her last name was just made up
-Shine was made back in 2000 for one single purpose, one single scene, as an antagonist and was meant to die in that scene. But I liked the character design soooo much that I brought her back when I started writing the second book, and now her whole part has been completely revised as a main character.
- So if you read the bit about creation you know that she was a completely flat character there was nothing to. After that she grew a very smart, sarcastic, don't-give-a-shit-bout-no-one attitude, which now has much much deeper roots with a brittle soft interior behind her callous exterior
- Her favorite human foods are grilled cheese sammiches and orange juice mixed with beer. she's special

2, Crypt Delacroix
- His first name came from a nickname that ex boyfriend always used, and his last name came from the surname of a family/character in a short story I read in highschool called 'The Lottery' and it's french for 'Of the Cross' and I always found it beautiful, and thought it to be quite ironic for a vampire name
- Crypt was created to be the opposing force/attraction of Chi from my comic Chi X (which never really got too far but I have been working on lots lately)
- Originally Crypt was pretty flat, stereotypical vampire hero, self-loathing, cool and suave, and badass. But of course we all grow up, now he's got some real depth and history, his appearance hasn't really changed much though.
- Crypt is addicted to vampire blood

3, Autumn Nichola Sime
- Her first name was thought up by one of my good friends in highschool, her middle name was a handle that I used everywhere and her last name was the same last name of a guy I had a huge crush on in like gr.8
- Autumn was created for my friend as an RP character and the daughter of my character Rain from my Rain books.
- Autumn was a skid, tomboyish girl originally, but that has changed so that she is mature and strong willed, yet girly at the most inopportune times, at least when she was young, when she grows up she becomes a really strong woman and lead vocalist of her band with her friends.
- Autumn's birthday is the same as mine.

4, Jacob Curtis Foriegn
- the name Jake was just chosen because it was plain and I really liked it, thought it would be great for a regular human character in my vampire world. His last name was picked as a play on Foreign (wow I am original I know) as he is the foreign element coming into the story. His middle name was the same as the boyfriend of my best friend, and they also share the same birthday Sept 1
- Jake was created as an introduction and liaison into Rain's world, a different point of view into the very different world of vampires. And worked as great tool to keep things down to earth
- As I mentioned Jake was just created as an introduction to Rain and to give the perspective from an outsider. Like all my characters he developed a much bigger role in the long run and is a character i just love for his simple human-ness!
- Jake is an arachnophobe

5, Marilyn Jude Foriegn
- His first name was stolen from Marilyn Manson, who I was obsessed with at the time, and because Marilyn was a singer. His middle name was also a nice feminine name that worked for a man and his last name is from his dad, above ^
- Marilyn was Jake's contribution to the second generation in Rain, his mother was just a random character, but Marilyn had a large part, Marilyn's life is a representation and a sort of memoir to all those friends I had in highschool that turned to drugs and sort of just disappeared into that
- Marilyn was developed at later date than most my characters so to this day he really hasn't changed too much, he really came out just as I wanted him, a boy that had it all and threw it away to drugs, of course years later he does what he can to make up for it even though is image is forever tarnished among his friends
- Marilyn is terrible at dying his hair, there's always blotchy patches of brown amongst the black, and his roots are always visible

6, Wolf (Sirulf Verina Kryo)
- Wolf and his brother Fox had those plain strange names for a long time before i decided to smarten up and give people real names, I had to think of strange names that would pass as Demon names, for Fox I just added an extra x which is popular in my demon's names. But for Wolf I had to think of a way that humans would make up his nickname, somehow I came up with Sirulf, which I just loved. Kryo was made as surname in a terrible reference to the idea of cryogenic freezing, because for a long time both Wolf and Fox were kept in captivity trapped, and basically time locked.
- Sirulf was created as a counterpart to Fox when I created Mace's brother Jens, since their family members all had demon guardians I had to create one for Jens, and I thought Wolf and Fox sounded good together.
- Wolf was pretty much a shadow character that just existed in lore, but now actually has a part in the later books when Fox and Rain's brother return.
- Wolf didn't want to return to the Demon world and has been pretty much lost at heart ever since he lost Jens
